Web functional structure should be in place already so now I aim to test whether the design and setup makes sense and will work long-term; and whether something is missing or superfluous. In another words: I will pretend we are in Business As Usual operation mode and see what will come out of it!

If everything will go as planned, I foresee the beta phase to last till early January, when I will like to enter true BAU operation mode.

So, how SCPortal should operate, you ask? The core concept is described in About SCPortal page. Also, you can see it all around. But to be more specific…

New techs/guides/fanarts/etc – or newly discovered old ones – will be continuously added to proper sections. I plan to release weekly updates with overview of what’s new so anyone can keep up with new content.

Interesting stuff that is not meant to last forever (or til SC7 release, at least) will be posted on front page. With new posts, the older ones will scroll down and eventually disappear – but if you will be still interested to ready them, you can do so in Front Page Archive (to be found in menu, under About SCPortal).

It’s a lot of work to be done, but luckily, I am not alone:

AppleBoom created SC Event Calendar and is currently contacting TOs to make it work long-term. This is great relief for me and I am highly grateful for her great adaptation of awesome idea.
Hayate is helping me with defining web focus and key points of interests; and with identifying ways how to target them properly.
HappyColour helped me a lot with testing and alpha-tuning.
And several other people helped me through proposing content that should be added.

How can YOU help, you ask? Well…

  1. When you post something interesting – or when you find someone else post – on Twitter, mark it with #SCPortal hashtag so I can find it and link from this web
  2. When announcing tournament or event on Twitter, mark it with #SC6Events hashtag so anyone can find it (and let AppleBoom know so she can add it to SC Event Calendar)
  3. Use the SUBMIT CONTENT button in the right column of SCPortal webpage to share anything you believe should be posted
  4. Join SCPortal Discord and share links for interesting posts, videos, tournaments or other resources there
  5. Follow @CaliburPortal on Twitter
  6. Spread the word about SOULCALIBUR PORTAL webpage
  7. If you are interested in supporting the costs associated with hosting and maintenance of this site, use the Buy a Coffee donation page.
  8. If you have any feedback, idea, proposal… share it with me!

And… That’s it! WELCOMME TO BETA!
