As I have to prepare some festivities to celebrate the Dark Love Team and the playoffs, I went to the marketplace. Once I got here, I noticed four strange persons with white hairs and dressed in purple clothes. I’ve never seen them at the kingdom so I decided to approach and discuss with them a bit.

Valhanya: Hello Zwei’s ! I hope everyone is doing well. Can you introduce yourselves briefly?

Pikapi: Hello I am Pikapi, my real name is Laura and I am a Zasalamel player since the S2 of this Soul Calibur.

Yin: Hey I’m Yin and I mash 6A+B.

Zappy: Hello, I’m Zappy, I play X since SC4 ^^’

Zollith: Thanks for having us! I’m Zollith, a lazy 2B main who really ought to lab more. I’ve been competitive since V, but I struggled to settle on a main until I took a break from the series to play Kingdom Hearts and Nier Automata instead, and now I mostly play this android from the future.

Valhanya: The ETL season 3 is almost over, playoffs start this week. What kind of experience did you have during these ten weeks of battle ?

Pikapi: This new Season it has been amazing! I love the team I have and I think we have all get fun with the ETL.

Yin: It’s been fun, really enjoy the mid set coaching aspect of these events.

Zappy: Fun matchs, sometimes in mood to play, sometimes not but I was happy to play Soul Calibur some evening. 

Zollith: It’s been overall a nice time: it was fun getting to chat and co-ordinate with my teammates, and getting support and advice as I played through the good and bad times really helped me, I think.

Valhanya: When you decided to participate to the event, what did you expect to achieve as a team but also as a player ?

Pikapi: As team I was expecting to have better results than last season, and as player just to improve my playstyle while I was playing different people and have fun. 

Yin: I just figured this would be a good excuse to practice the game every week, didn’t expect to go undefeated before the playoffs but I’m happy for it.

Zappy: Well I just wanna play for fun so just doing my best and try to not forget what to do xD

Zollith: While I couldn’t do a ZWEI costume for 2B, I got to do a Viola one instead (and did ZWEI for Hwang instead) and I’d like to think that boosted team spirit a little bit. I mainly hoped to figure out who I could bully with their lack of matchup knowledge or struggles against my playstyle as possible to net wins for us >=]

Valhanya: This week is the quarters finals and you fight Fotten’s team Bee Gasses. What is your mindset about this fight and do you think you can make it to the semi finals ?

Pikapi: Last time we played against them we won them so I hope this time we can do the same. 

Yin: We’ve beaten them before but this time the matchups are a bit different, hopefully I can channel Zappy and make Aarpia uninstall the game.

Zappy: I dont know, sry no idea 😡 i will just fight and see what’s happen.

Zollith: I’m hopeful, especially since I’ve insisted on playing Lyonide again, who I did well against in our last FT5. I’ll definitely accept the L if he pulls through, but he has a lot of my BS to overcome first.

Valhanya:This season was pretty tough due of the number of teams and fights each weeks. Can you share your opinion about this season 3 ?

Pikapi: Well I think that having more people is better, and for example it is true that you Valhanya have a really strong team but the other ones we are like similar in strengh, that us thanks to the new system we have done in the beginning. I really like how it has developed this season.

Yin: I didn’t play in the other seasons so I can’t compare but the number of teams wasn’t too overwhelming, though I’ll say having every match streamed in a different channel makes it kinda hard to follow.

Zappy: I’m sry, i’m searching but i have no particular opinion ><’ well FT5 is good I think not too long not too short.

Zollith: I think the overall system was well thought out. As for the games, it’s been a very interesting run with a mix of results personally. I’ve had my share of heartbreaks with close sets (particularly against Fanlee and Sett, for example, which were both 4-5). Admittedly, some games I felt pretty terrible about too, such as my losses to Taokaka and Zanaken, but that’s more to do with my own ego than anything else. Again, though, being part of a team was very welcome support, and also I’m very glad we have an overpowered and supportive ace in the form of Yin lmao.

Valhanya: You shared a lot of things during these ten weeks of battle. What is your favorite match or highlight ? (It can be a personal one or a team one, feel free to share a clip) 

Pikapi: I love the match I did against Kusoge, it was really equal.

Yin: I wanna say Zappy dodging Zas CE with FC3B for no reason but really I’m most proud of my match with Fotten because I decided to test my Hwang and actually pulled through without relying on Maxi.

Zappy: I think the first, because we were all vocal and the mood was funny ^^’

Zollith: I agree with Zappy, in that Week 1 and 2 really set a great expectation for what would come, even though I lost to Sekirei and HolyCarp. I do wish we got to voice chat more, but it couldn’t be helped: I still felt like I had the power of magic doggos behind me. 

Valhanya: Any last thoughts you would like to share with your fans and our readers? / Un dernier mot à vos fans et à nos lecteurs ?
