Summary:
Generally well-balanced with exceptional whiff punishment but dependent on walls and enemy whiffs to generate damage.

Description:
The sword and gun-wielding zombie ghost pirate has high damage whiff punishment with a far backdash and the constant threat of his powerful spiralling instant Geo Da Ray attack into huge damage. He uniquely benefits from walled stages by entering his Dread Storm stance while on walls, and also has a special untechable throw that results in a wall splat. This gives him the distinction of being slightly more stage dependent than the rest of the cast. Outside of enemy whiffs, he can struggle to break through a keen enemy defense, as he has non-oppressive lows and weak approach options. Furthermore to master him one must consistently input iGDR, including from crouch. The move is tricky to input as the 214 motion cannot be buffered and must be input perfectly, and a missed input not only means a dropped combo but a big punish or even self ring out.

  2. plus on hit and RE safe pokes
  3. good movement including far backstep

Weaknesses:

  1. lacks good approach options
  2. reliant on movement and enemy mistakes to deal damage
  3. struggles to use plus frames as his attacks push the enemy away

Unique mechanic:
Gains access to a special lethal hit when landing b2 or 3B+K after landing 9 gun shot attacks. Similar to other resource lethal hits this is tricky to gain and generally only possible once a game, and in a later round.
