Style:
Rushdown
Difficulty:
Intermediate
Summary:
Huge damage potential with powerful Divine Force powered up state, strong gap closers, and throws. Many strong moves cost guard stamina, making her offense especially risky.
Description:
Unlike her calm and collected sister Sophitia, Cassandra attacks wildly and aggressively, going all-in with powerful attacks and the unique ability to use some attacks at the cost of her own guard gauge. Her potential damage is huge with diverse combo options and special attacks gained from her Divine Force powered up state. Complementing her rushdown ability is a great throw game including low throws and a 50/50 mix-up ground mount attack. Most of her powerful moves are very linear and she must either use special powered up attacks (at the cost of some resource) or use careful movement to limit the enemyโs evasion. She also harms her own guard so much that she puts herself at risk of being guard broken if not balancing the guard cost moves with her guard recovering special attacks.
Strengths:
- fast movement
- excellent tech crouch and aGI attacks
- strong plus frames on block and on hit with pokes
Weaknesses:
- high risk, especially with guard gauge
- potentially high combo execution (utilize instant while rising to extend combos and just frames)
- weak ring out and wall game
Unique mechanic:
Specific attacks on hit or block power up Cassandra into Divine Force state, giving her access to devastating attacks imbued with the power of the gods. Each Divine Force attack ends the state, though in Soul Charge she gains access to all attacks for the duration of the charge. Divine Force attacks have the Holy Smite effect, which recovers 10% of her guard gauge.
She also has special attacks (usable at all times, not just Divine Force) that consume 10% of her guard gauge.
