Summary:
Great pokes control space and reward defensive play until he pops Soul Charge and goes all-in with constant life drain balancing crazy offense with an unblockable i12 CE.
Description:
Troubled yet resolute, the partially malfested Kilik is generally played as a defensive and poking type character whose gameplay completely changes in Soul Charge. His usual gameplay requires use of a diverse set of attacks great at attacking various ranges, and he benefits from poking and harassing the enemy complemented by a solid ring out game. In addition his stances and trickier moves like his back turned launching kick can also supplement a more all-in aggressive playstyle. In Soul Charge he activates his evil malfested energy and turns his gameplay and demeanor upside-down, constantly losing health while gaining access to new damaging attacks, including an incredibly powerful unblockable i12 CE that does not cost an extra meter to use. Effective use of the character requires both the savvy required to play his usual poking game and the awareness to know when to risk activating Evil Kilik and go in.
Strengths:
- great pokesÂ
- huge damage in Soul Charge
- special evasive/defensive options with aGI stances
Weaknesses:
- weak oki
- weak damage outside of Soul Charge
- high risk Soul Charge
Unique mechanic:
Kilik’s Soul Charge uses his malfested power and opens up new attacks while constantly losing health. He cannot die from this health loss and the life drain stops at 1 HP. Soul Charge will instead end when using his Soul Charge CE (no extra meter cost), or by using Soul’s Balm with 8B+K to end the Soul Charge and heal.
