If you had to introduce yourself in three sentences to some SoulCalibur player who didn’t know you, what would you say?
I’m an old SC player since late Soul Calibur 2 until now. I’ve always mained Sophitia in every installment (Pyrrha in SCV) and will do anything to make sure the community keeps going. I’m what we call both Toxic and Wholesome…somehow…
What is the origin or meaning of your nickname?
Well I’ve been using my real name (Ramon) for awhile but as a joke on twitch I changed it to FatherRamon since it was a joke that I take care of the NYC scene like they are my kids. Then people started coming into the stream asking me to bless them like Father meant priest, so…now i’m a priest.
How did it happen that you ended up playing fighting games?
I used to play Fighting games casually once in a blue moon. I was in Chinatown Fair ages ago playing Dance Dance Revolution when I heard the crowd ROAR behind me. When I looked over to the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 machine I saw 3 players going at it and everyone was forming a crowd watching. That energy made me want to be in the FGC. Those 3 players later I found out were Justin Wong, Yipes, and Sanford. That day changed everything I would do from then on.
Who do you main in SC6 and why?
I play Sophie. I love that she’s a character that capitalizes on your opponents mistakes the hardest. Ever since they made her Soul Charge more honest I’ve been enjoying her more and more.
What is your opinion regarding SC6?
Oh I LOVE this game to pieces! The game is so well balanced in my opinion. Every character has a chance at winning a major. It’s the best Soul Calibur by FAR at this point.
If you could change one single thing about SC6 what would that be?
Well I would love more added DLC’s and characters. I think expanding this beautiful game would be amazing. But we know that’s not on the table and I’m ok with that. I will be playing this game until SC7 comes out for sure.
What do you consider to be your greatest SC6 achievement and why?
I would say my stream. I started streaming after season 2. Very late. But I’ve managed to get myself in the Top 0.77% of Twitch! Just through the love and support of the Calibur community. I’ve been in many FGC communities and this is by far the best one. It brings me great pride and joy to stream SC and see a ton of the same names and some new ones!

A: I will be traveling a lot (Pandemic pending) and I’m already booked for 5 different Majors already. I can’t wait!
