If you had to introduce yourself in three sentences to some SoulCalibur player who didn’t know you, what would you say?

My name is Raymond, my main character is Ivy and Soulcalibur is probably my favorite fighting game.

What is the origin or meaning of your nickname?

Raymondvrc, vrc stands for my complete name Victor Raymond Campusano, I didn’t have any ideas for a gamer name or didn’t identify myself with a different name, so I just used my initials.

How did it happen that you ended up playing fighting games?

I ways like fighting games and the sense of competition it can bring when playing with friends, I remember when I was a kid some friends had Soulcalibur and I fell in love with it, with the graphics and everything, that was SC2, I have been playing the game since then, except SC3 because didn’t have the chance.

Who do you main in SC6 and why?

Ivy Valentine, I love her design, and it’s really cool she has a whip sword, I love whips as a weapon. She also has magic powers and is a sexy woman, I really love everything in her design and moves.

What is your opinion regarding SC6?

For me, it is the best game in the series, except for some consistency issues and the lack of support from Namco. If Namco treated SC fairly it might be one of the biggest hits out there.

If you could change one single thing about SC6 what would that be?

The consistency issues, some hits just go through the characters and that can kill your emotion.

What do you consider to be your greatest SC6 achievement and why?

I once faced Lolo in grand finals, a great Yoshimitsu player, I reseted and won, Lolo is a legend in this game so winning 6 matches against him is a great achievement.

Please answer a single question that you were not asked but you would like to answer!

Why do you think SC is the best game?
I think that the game is fairly balanced, has a great and varied cast, good story. With the 8 way run, if you know what the other person will do you always have an option, in 2D games some characters and matches are impossible. In Soulcalibur 6 there are not impossible matches because all comes down to the choices you make.

Thank you for the interview!
