If you had to introduce yourself in three sentences to some SoulCalibur player who didn’t know you, what would you say?

I’m player with 20 years of experience who ignore frames and love to dominate. Pro player who is not even trying to fight his addiction to compete. I guarantee a high level and unforgettable matches.

What is the origin or meaning of your nickname?

My nickname Matt is just from the name and because there were a lot of players with this nickname,i wanted to stand out so I added JF which means juliafan. Julia was my character i used in tekken 3.

How did it happen that you ended up playing fighting games?

As a child, after school, I went to the arcade which was located at the railway station. There I had my first contact with SC and Tekken 3. Then I bought a console – PS one – and everything started.

Who do you main in SC6 and why?

From the time I saw Talim in SC2 I just knew shes going to be my main character. A character that fits my aggressive style of play, perfect for tournament struggles. Of course, I wish Namco buff her a bit.

What is your opinion regarding SC6?

A game with great balance and with many unique and interesting characters. Everyone will find a character to suit their style or their fantasies. Leveling your character during match and many different stances adds depth to the game and keeps you from getting bored.

If you could change one single thing about SC6 what would that be?

I think I would replace re with just guard. It might add depth to the game or … make game completely worse. So let SC6 be what it is.

What do you consider to be your greatest SC6 achievement and why?

In online tournaments, I usually place very high so I think that the 5th place in the tournament in France this year is the greatest achievement.
